What do we mean by " index.htm and 3 sub-pages " as a Basic Web site?

The basic structure of this web site is the home page and a few information pages under the home page.  A good example is www.CarpetUpholsteryCleaners.com

With the opening index.html page you let you visitor know who you are and offer them the option of selecting more information about you on your information pages.

Then in the following pages you answer the Who What Where.  With a Bio or Who.  A sales page that explains your product or service to the potential customer.  Often needed is a page on where with maps that helps the potential customer find you.

In the end give the user a reason to call and all the information needed to pre-sell your services.  Build out a good description of your solution to their need.
